What is Typhoid

Ayurvedic Remedies for Typhoid
In Ayurveda typhoid is known as Manthara or Antrika Jwara. Various Ayurvedic remedies used in the treatment of typhoid fever are mentioned below:
Jaundice Berry (Ambarbaris)- Because of the presence of citric and malic acids in them, jaundice berries are very efficient in the treatment of inflammatory fevers like typhoid.
Margosa (Neem) – The root bark of the Neem tree is used in a decoction in the treatment of fever which is developed by typhoid.
The below mentioned is a famous course used in the treatment of typhoid:-
First –Muktashukti Bhasma, Mrigshringa Bhasma – Take 125 mg each. The suggested amount should be taken three times every day mixed with a cup of water.
First –Khub Kalana – 12gm of Khub kalana should be taken as a decoction along with 10gm of dry grapes. The decoction must be prepared in 1 litre of water that is boiled down to 1/3 of its original quantity.
Second –Muktashukti Bhasma, Kasturi Bhairavi Rasa– Take 10mg of Muktashukti and 120mg of Kasturi Bhairavi Rasa. Both the preparations must be taken along with honey, three times a day daily.
Second –Saubhagya Vati, Jwararyabhra- Take 120mg of Saubhagya Vati and 240 mg of Jwararyabhra. Both these mixtures should be taken in conjunction along with the above with the juice of fresh ginger. The dosage of this mixture is thrice a day.
Third –Pravala Bhasma, Vasanta Malati Rasa, Amrita Sattva – Take 120 mg of each ingredient. These preparations should be taken with honey two times a day.
Third –Pippali Sarva Jwara Lauha – Take 240 mg of each component. These must be taken in the after the above given preparations. They must be taken for about 3 hours after the above.
Fourth –Navayasa Choorna-2.5 mg, Vasanta Malati Rasa-120 mg, Sitopaladi Choorna-1.5 mg -These must be consumed along with honey two times a day.
Fourth –Amritarishta-10 ml, Vish Mushtayasava-5 ml, Lauhasava-10 ml -These liquid preparations should be consumed with equal quantities of water after lunch and dinner.
